Seneca Polytechnic - Newnham Campus
In this two-year diploma program, student will learn the fundamentals to prepare for a career as a civil engineering technician. Their studies will include computer drafting, municipal and building practices, material testing and field surveying. At the completion of first year, they will have the option to transfer to the Civil Engineering Technology program (requires a grade of C or better in Strength of Materials).
Throughout this program students will develop the following skills: • Building principles • Computer-aided drafting • Materials testing • Field surveying techniques
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional co-op work term(s) in a formal work environment. In most cases the work term(s) is a full-time paid position completed between two academic semesters.
