Bachelor of Arts - Ancient Studies (Optional Co-op) (UZA)

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Ancient Studies program, students will study the ancient world through a variety of disciplines. They will take courses on the ancient civilizations of Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. Additionally, they may enroll in courses in History, Archaeology, Philosophy, and Religion in Culture, allowing them to explore the literature, mythology, politics, and philosophies of early civilizations. This program will enable students to understand how these ancient periods influence contemporary and future culture, societal structures, community relationships, and social and political development. They will develop the skills necessary to assess the accuracy of historical information, customs, and contexts. Furthermore, they will be equipped to provide guidance and input on the development and utilization of historical references and materials. In the fourth-year capstone seminar, students will have the opportunity to gain practical research experience.
