Soccer Academy - Grade 10

Abbotsford Senior Secondary School is the home of our district soccer academy. Our unique model brings university level coaches together with players at a variety of skill levels. Do you love to play soccer and want to make training a part of your school day? If the answer is yes, this is the program for you!

The soccer academy takes place from September through June. Student's will receive instruction from our two hired coaches to help develop students’ skills and knowledge in the game of soccer. This academy can develop skills and knowledge for all levels of soccer players who enjoy the game. The remainder of the PE classes will be used to cover the Physical Education learning outcomes not covered during the soccer instruction. Student's will also partake in strength and conditioning exercises twice a week. Students will learn and implement a variety of workout techniques and strategies that addresses their appropriate age and needs to help develop core strength, speed, agility and overall athletic performance.
