What you will study

This Ravensbourne University London course looks at the communication between movement and narrative. One of the leading animation courses in the country and the only one of its kind in London; the course will help students to apply animation skills to a broad range of careers by using a mix of practice and theory-based learning. It encourages students to respond to live and self-initiated briefs, to solve creative problems. The course involves a mix of practice and theory-based learning, including lectures, seminars, workshops, individual tutorials and self-directed study. Students will have access to industry standard software and will produce an assessed portfolio of creative and professional work.

Animation is an increasingly widespread form of media and good animators are becoming more sought after in film, television, VFX, gaming and the web. Past graduates have been employed in roles within film and television, visual effects, advertising, post-production, apps and games.
