What you will study

Exploring key concepts such as managing people, operations, logistics, marketing and finance, students will also learn about corporate strategy, business ethics and how small businesses and start-ups need to operate in a competitive business environment. Students will practise their entrepreneurship in a real-world context and acquire high-level business planning skills, critical to successful entrepreneurship. Students will also have the opportunity to explore both the theory and practice of entrepreneurship, learning more about their own style and skills, and how to bring those abilities out in others. Students will finish the course with a deep appreciation of the entrepreneurial process, and the skills to drive innovation and adapt to change. This course also has the option of a one year paid work placement, to boost students' employability even further. And throughout the degree, students will have access to employability events, guest speakers from the business world, and access to mentoring and careers support. Students will get to hear from and meet industry experts, gain vital work experience, as well as having personalised face-to-face and 24/7 online study and career support. And, if students need it, throughout their studies, students will have access to personal wellbeing and mental health support. This course has a timetable designed to fit around students' committments, and the University of Roehampton has plenty of support for commuting students, including free on-campus car parking, excellent transport links and a free bus service. The University of Roehampton also offers all new students guaranteed on-campus accommodation. This programme is dual accredited to a CMI qualification. Upon successful completion of the programme, Roehampton on-campus students, will be eligible for a CMI L5 qualification in Management and Leadership (subject to passing the required mapped CMI modules and CMI moderation. This course offers all students the option of a one-year paid work placement, to boost their employability even further. If students choose this route, they will take the placement following year two of their course, and then return to complete their degree.
