Offering over 20,000 square feet of combined shop space, Conestoga will provide students with the opportunity to be job ready to enter this high demand trade. In this two-year Motive Power Technician - Automotive Service program, the focus is hands-on training. In addition to Level 1 and 2 apprenticeship training, students will delve deeper into related topics such as hybrid and electric vehicles, failure analysis, and electrical diagnostics and repair. Students will also be introduced to alternative careers in the automotive industry such as business development, customer service, shop and parts management. As a graduate, students will have an opportunity to receive exemption from Levels 1 and 2 of the Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship in-school training.
