Undergraduate Foundation Program WSU’s Undergraduate Foundation program provides additional academic and/or English language support and personalized advising to help students smoothly transition to full university study. Students are unconditionally admitted to the university and graduate in the same amount of time as direct-entry students – they are just provided with additional support courses. Bachelor of Arts - English - Linguistics Linguistics is traditionally defined as the study of the nature and structure of human language. A student majoring in linguistics may expect a broad liberal education in literature, anthropology, mathematics, and philosophy around a core of language. The student will gain a substantial familiarity with several languages and types of linguistic structure and will become conversant with the formal theories of linguistic analysis and the historical study of language.
