University of Saskatchewan (USASK)
Biomedical science is the foundation of knowledge and discovery that ultimately improves patient care. As biomedical scientists, students will ask the questions and find the answers that improve the health and well-being of the people of Saskatchewan and the world.
All of the University of Saskatchewan majors build on the foundation of a two-year biomedical science core platform which provides students with an introductory exposure to cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, and pharmacology. Once the core courses have been completed, students have the opportunity to continue in the program and select one of the BMSC majors. This allows students a broad introductory experience to decide which major suits them best. Students can apply directly to the BMSC program from high school.
Biomedical foundations provides students with a strong foundation of multidisciplinary training in biomedical science while providing flexibility for initial specialization within a particular biomedical science.
