The programme supports a wide range of research topics, encouraging both theoretical and practice-based approaches, and welcomes projects aligned with its established research groups as well as innovative proposals that extend beyond them.
A key strength of the programme is the integration of academic research with professional practice, enabling the production of impactful work that contributes to both scholarly debate and real-world media and policy contexts. Students are supported by experienced supervisors and benefit from a collaborative research culture that values intellectual exchange and creative inquiry.
The programme provides extensive training and support, with postgraduate researchers playing an important role in the School’s internationally recognised research profile.
