Central Michigan University
In this concentration, students will learn to create nanostructures, explore the development of pharmaceuticals, and push the frontiers of the possible with biomimetics. Like all chemistry majors, students will begin your studies with the same core courses in science and math. Students will also engage in hands-on research and work one-on-one with recognized experts. As a materials scientist, the job will be based on understanding the chemical properties of different materials. Then students will use that knowledge to improve existing materials, or create brand new ones.
