Students can investigate what it means to be human by studying cultures and exploring issues that impact people's global environment, Indigenous peoples, their health and well-being and social movements. The will learn first-hand from faculty with a wide range of expertise who conduct research in countries such as India, Paraguay, South Africa, Japan, Cuba and Madagascar.

Students can join the student society to bring awareness to various topics in sociology and anthropology or consider a semester abroad to experience and study other cultures.
