What you will study

University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Bachelor of Computer Science (BP094P23) (118225C) RMIT’s Bachelor of Computer Science provides students with in-depth knowledge of systems infrastructure, software methods and technologies, and application technologies, combining both theoretical and practical perspectives.

The program builds a strong foundation across all aspects of computer technology, including computer hardware, operating systems, computer networks, data structures and algorithms, database systems, software engineering and organisational considerations.

Through RMIT’s innovative programming bootcamps and studios, students develop industry-relevant skills while exploring real-world problems, equipping them with the knowledge and adaptability needed to succeed in the dynamic and competitive field of computer science.

The degree offers flexibility, allowing students to tailor their studies to their career goals. Students can specialise in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, game design, computer security, data wrangling or computational science, while engaging with industry-relevant subjects designed to challenge and advance their capabilities.
