4-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Business, Law and Social Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Irish Studies and Hispanic Studies (Honours Select 50:50)

At University of Liverpool, students will receive a general grounding in all aspects of Irish Studies. They will explore Irish identity and society from a number of perspectives including the historical, the linguistic, the literary and its material culture. Students then have the opportunity to choose modules in order to specialize in a specific area. Split the degree between the study of Spanish language and cultures and another subject. Studying Hispanic Studies at 50% will enable students to become highly proficient in writing, reading, speaking and listening to Spanish with the option of studying a second Iberian language (Basque, Catalan or Portuguese) from Year Two. Students will spend one year in a Spanish-speaking country (or if relevant, Basque or Catalan speaking region or Portuguese speaking country) as an assistant in a school, as a student at a university or on a work placement.
