What you will study

As a physiotherapist students will work closely with people of all ages who are affected by illness, injury or disability, and a variety of other conditions affecting health and wellbeing. They will devise and provide individualized treatment programmes with compassion, patience and strong interpersonal skills. Physiotherapists help improve a person’s quality of life through advice, exercise and education.

Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and takes a ‘whole person’ approach to health and wellbeing, which includes the individual’s general lifestyle. At the core is the person’s involvement in their own care.

The focus on interdisciplinary learning across all the health courses enriches students experience while also preparing them for the reality of professional practice.
