Washington State University - Pullman
The major in advertising focuses on the skills needed to appeal to consumers effectively by designing and evaluating advertising initiatives using a variety of media platforms.
Practical experience and internships are built into the program.
Students will study the principles and practical applications of writing, market research, creative strategy, long-term relationship building, and management — and they’ll put them straight into practice by preparing media plans and strategy, writing copy, and helping plan and execute complete campaigns for the University’s TV, radio, and multimedia authoring properties.
When students graduate, they’ll have true professional experience and plenty of real-world practice to build on.
Supplemental Pre-Professional tracks are available for students interested in pursuing further professional education. If there is interest in one of these tracks in addition to the degree, please let the recruiter know. The options are: • Pre-Dentistry • Pre-Law • Pre-Medicine • Pre-Nutrition & Exercise Physiology • Pre-Occupational Therapy • Pre-Optometry • Pre-Pharmacy • Pre-Physical Therapy • Pre-Physician Assistant • Pre-Speech & Hearing Sciences
• Pre-Veterinary Medicine
