International College Dundee
The Pre-Masters program is designed for students who do not qualify for direct entry to a postgraduate degree at the University of Dundee. This may be due to the grades achieved in their undergraduate degree, their current qualifications not being equivalent to a UK undergraduate degree, or a desire to improve their academic and English language skills.
The Pre-Masters course will equip students with the advanced skills necessary to complete their postgraduate study at the University of Dundee. They can choose to study over one or two terms, depending on their academic qualifications and English language level. The one-term option offers a fast track route to their chosen degree course and is studied over three months. The two-term option is studied over six months and provides additional academic English and subject-related support.
Corporate and Commercial Law In the new era of digital revolution and sustainable finance within the global economy, the role of corporate law has radically changed, both in terms of the purpose of the corporation and the duties of corporate officers. Expertise in comparative corporate law is increasingly in demand in legal practice and across both established and emerging industrial sectors, including finance, multinational corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and startups.
In this course, students will learn about business transactions and corporate law at national and international levels while exploring pressing contemporary issues in this context. The teaching approach is international in scope and comparative by nature, equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to pursue a global career as highly skilled corporate professionals in the new stakeholder economy.
The course combines insights and readings from both law and business and provides opportunities for students to discuss case studies, thereby gaining experience from real-life legal practice. Students will be taught by internationally recognized experts who have experience advising international businesses, legal practice, and local governments.
