Bachelor of Law (Honours) with Integrated Foundation

University of Buckingham - Main Campus

What you will study

The three-year Bachelor of Law (Honours) with Integrated Foundation is designed for students who will benefit from a one-year introduction to enable them to study law at undergraduate level. The first year of the programme provides a foundation to the more specialist ‘core’ subjects delivered in years two and three, leading to the award of a degree.

The program's concentrated mode of delivery during years two and three of this programme prepares students for careers in law, governance, public service, industry, and commerce. It also satisfies the necessary first step for qualifying as a lawyer in various common law jurisdictions, including Canada, Nigeria (Single Hons LLB), the Bahamas, Ghana and Bermuda.

For students interested in qualifying as a solicitor in the UK, the program provides them with thorough preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam 1 (SQE1), enabling them to choose the accelerated SQE1 preparation courses after graduation. The innovative and diverse curriculum also contributes to preparation for the practice-orientated SQE2, both SQE1 and SQE2 being necessary for qualification as a solicitor. Buckingham Law School graduates also benefit from a 20% discount on the SQE1 preparation course provided by the leading professional legal educator BARBRI.
