University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. University Diploma - Interior Design (C5431) (111975K) RMIT’s interior design program prepares students to understand how spaces function effectively for different purposes, whether in residential, commercial or unique environments.

This practical, industry-relevant course develops the creative and technical skills required for a career in interior design. Students learn 2D and 3D design techniques alongside the decorative aspects of design, exploring colour, materials and finishes, interior construction methods, soft furnishings, fabrics and furniture.

Through a combination of research and hands-on projects, students engage with both historical and contemporary styles and trends, building the ability to respond to professional briefs for residential and commercial clients. The program also develops strong documentation and technical skills essential for industry practice.

Graduates gain a comprehensive understanding of spatial design, including layout, furnishings, decorative treatments and the full design documentation process.
