Overview
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a higher degree by research completed wholly through independent study and investigation. Graduates of the program demonstrate an advanced and integrated understanding of a complex and specialised body of knowledge.
Usually undertaken over two years of full-time study, the MPhil requires candidates to demonstrate their ability to conduct independent research through the submission of a substantial thesis or, where appropriate, a portfolio of creative works accompanied by an exegesis. Throughout the research process, candidates are guided and supported by a supervisory team who provide academic advice and mentorship.
Within this program, candidates undertake a research project within the broad field of creative arts.
