This program prepares students for a variety of careers in fitness and sports management. The Associate of Science degree includes a significant portion of general education courses to facilitate future four-year degree completion, if desired. Students interested in occupations such as athletic training/sports medicine, coaching, personal training or teaching may plan to transfer and continue their education in physical education, sport management and related fields.
Program Learning Outcomes: • Analyze and discuss the social and ethical issues, trends and government regulations and how each applies to physical education and sport management careers. • Demonstrate a practical application and working knowledge of sports and sports-related activities and the components of fitness and wellness.
