Overview

This program is offered as a combined major. Develop written and spoken competence in Italian and discover the rich and vast world of Italian culture. A variety of language courses are offered from beginner to advanced, including translation theory and practice, Italian regionalism and language teaching.

Brock also offers courses in Italian literature, culture, cinema, art and architecture (some in English). Students will be exposed to great writers, artists and filmmakers such as Dante, Petrarch, Machiavelli, Pirandello, Eco, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Fellini and Bertolucci.
