Overview
University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.
Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.
To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.
University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

University Diploma - Screen and Media (C5421) (107883D) RMIT’s Diploma of Screen and Media is a one-year, intensive and highly practical program designed to meet industry demand for skilled graduates and prepare students for immediate entry into the screen and media industry.
Students gain hands-on experience working on live broadcast and streaming productions across a range of technical areas, including producing, production management, directing, camera operation, lighting, audio, graphics and post-production.
The program is delivered in RMIT’s renowned Media Precinct, where students train using industry-grade equipment. Facilities include multiple broadcast studios for television and 4K live streaming, the RMIT Cloud Studio (a purpose-built vMix live streaming facility), location and ENG production equipment, industry-standard control rooms with EVS, CCU and Xpression graphics, Sony and Ross vision mixers, LED lighting and digital audio systems, and post-production tools such as DaVinci Resolve and the Adobe suite.
Teaching is led by experienced industry professionals actively working in broadcast production and live streaming, ensuring students develop industry-relevant skills and are well prepared for employment. Strong links with community television networks, including C31 and RMITV, provide additional opportunities for students to apply their skills, build experience and expand their professional networks while completing the program.
