Overview
This course is specifically designed for those wishing to gain employment as biomedical scientists and clinical scientists in the NHS, or those wishing to pursue scientific research within academia, industry or the healthcare sector.
As such, it leads to a professionally recognised qualification, being externally accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS). This means that when students have successfully completed the degree, and then gained a position to complete their registration portfolio, they can become a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Biomedical Scientist.
