Overview

If students split their University of Liverpool degree between German and another subject area, they will study a German language module, at beginners or advanced level, and a cultural module per semester, alongside two other modules in the other subject. If students combine German with a non-language subject, they will spend the Year Abroad in a German speaking country as an assistant in a school, as a student at a university or on a work placement.

Archaeology at 50% provides students with a solid understanding of archaeological methods and theory, combined with the study of the archaeology of specific geographical areas and chronological periods. This enables students to build highly transferable skills (team-working, critical thinking, synthesizing information and data, IT and oral skills) into any humanities degree.
