The Computer Science, B.S. with a concentration in Network Security allows students to focus on network infrastructure and network security aspects, preparing them to handle IT security infrastructure challenges for businesses around the world.
They'll study a variety of topics such as defense-in-depth, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography, and virtual private networks. They will also complete a substantial project that demonstrates the full extent of their technical skills and knowledge, in addition to its economic, societal, and ethical impact.
Students will have the opportunity to work on funded research projects for the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, among others alongside faculty at New York Tech’s Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC). Many students publish their work in recognized journals as part of the Undergraduate Research & Entrepreneurial Program (UREP).
