Bachelor of 3D Animation and Emerging Technologies (Honours)

An Honours Bachelor of 3D Animation and Emerging Technologies is an advanced degree focused on creating 3D visuals (CGI, VFX, games, VR/AR) by blending animation art (drawing, story, character design) with tech (AI, real-time engines, procedural generation) for various industries beyond entertainment, preparing graduates for high-demand digital creation roles. 3D animation now spans sectors like automotive, architecture, medicine, urban planning, and security. By merging traditional art with modern techniques, students can transform their passion for 3D modeling and animation into diverse careers. Students can earn a unique credential showcasing their CGI mastery. They will learn from expert professors at Sheridan's Faculty of Animation, Arts & Design — Canada's largest arts school and a leader in computer animation education for nearly 50 years. They will study computer animation fundamentals, design, and technology, enhancing skills through hands-on projects. By the third year, they will take specialized courses in animation, advanced technology, visualization, and machine learning, gaining industry insights and real-world experience through a research capstone and a 420-hour internship.
