This four-year degree develops the knowledge and capabilities required to implement cyber security solutions and processes that protect organisations and individuals from cyber crime. With an embedded cyber security major and industry-aligned curriculum, the program prepares graduates to pursue careers as IT or ICT practitioners, with the potential to progress into leadership roles.
Throughout the degree, students explore areas such as computer crime and cyber security, ethical theories and principles in a professional IT context, the social implications of computing in a digital world, the impact of social media and networking, and professional communication.
In addition to technical expertise, students build strong skills in problem solving, decision making, critical analysis, ethical practice, teamwork and professional communication, graduating as work-ready, globally aware and adaptable professionals.
The program includes a supervised industry internship in the final year, providing students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practical settings, gain real-world experience and begin building their professional networks.
