Graduate Certificate - Community Crisis and Suicide Response (CCSR)

Graduate Certificate Community Crisis and Suicide Response is Canada’s first post-secondary program focused on community safety and wellbeing in crisis and suicide response. Students explore innovative community-led crisis models and public health strategies that improve care standards. Using trauma-informed, decolonial, and anti-oppressive frameworks, they learn to assess and support individuals and communities with insights from Black, racialized, Indigenous, and 2SLGBTQIA+ perspectives. Through evidence-based methods and simulations, students grasp crisis complexities and navigate mental health, addiction, and justice systems. Graduates are ready to provide compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive crisis and suicide support. This program equips those in human services, justice, community safety, education, and health with essential skills in community crisis and suicide response.
