The MMus Performance at the University of West London focuses on developing students’ musical performance at an advanced level across classical, jazz and popular styles.

The course brings together musicians from a wide range of traditions, creating a vibrant and stimulating community that allows students to expand their musical knowledge and explore new creative directions while advancing their professional practice.

Students will be taught by a team of active music professionals, providing insight into the realities of a career in music and access to a diverse network of performances and performers.

As performers, students will benefit from one-to-one tuition with internationally acclaimed professionals, participate in workshops and masterclasses, and engage with the London College of Music’s dynamic musical environment.

Students will develop their individual performance approach while enhancing critical thinking and listening skills through practical workshops and classes exploring research methods, performance practices and the psychology of performance. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies to their career goals.

Throughout the course, students will collaborate with peers across the wider London College of Music community, enriching their learning experience and expanding their professional network.
