Overview

Studying law as 50% of the degree gives students a thorough understanding of the discipline of law and the role of law in regulating society; however law as a Joint (50%) option does not lead to a qualifying law degree. Law is an interesting and important subject for study, involving consideration of notions of justice, relationships with one another and with the state, and the processes for effecting change in society. Joint students in Film Studies take 60 credits in Film per year. In Years Two and Three the full range of film modules are available to students, although the number which students select is limited to two per semester. In Year Three students may do a dissertation module in film or in the other joint subject (but not both).
