Bangor University
In this rapidly changing world, a postgraduate course can serve different needs and give learners that extra edge that today’s employers are looking for, or secure that much-needed promotion. Whatever students' academic or professional goals are, the School of Education and Human Development’s long tradition of academic excellence will help them get there.
The full-time Education Studies (with placement) MA is a 15-month taught programme that caters for the needs of those who wish to gain an MA degree through intensive full-time study.
Learners will be able to undertake their placement at either a nursery, primary, secondary or special education school or within the University; where they'll observe classroom teaching, management, curricula and assessment strategies used by teachers and have first-hand experience of the UK education system. This opportunity will also allow learners to reflect on their studies and observe how the theory is put into practice, which will help their further development and professional competence.
The MA Education Studies graduates are in great demand. Most gain employment in schools and universities. Other career paths include working as staff trainers in various fields, or in an administrative role within government.
