Overview
University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.
Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.
To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.
University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.
Prospective students are encouraged to contact an RMIT international advisor for assistance with their application and to determine the most suitable study option.
Bachelor of Photography (BP117P26) (118027J) RMIT’s Bachelor of Photography is a scholarly program that integrates technical expertise, critical engagement, professional practice and ethical judgement.
Students are challenged to produce work that responds to contemporary critical discourses in both local and global contexts, while exploring emerging technologies and evaluating their relevance to their own photographic practice.
The degree recognises the diverse nature of photographic practice and careers. After developing foundational skills in the first semester, students select an area of specialisation, with the flexibility to undertake subjects beyond their primary discipline.
Learning is structured through project-based subjects that combine theoretical, practical and professional development. As students progress, they take increasing responsibility for directing their own learning and producing photographic projects aligned with their chosen specialisation.
