Overview
Human Kinetics is concerned with understanding capacities for, and limits of, human movement at different ages and with the role of physical activity in human health. Through the use of electives, students may structure a program emphasizing biomechanics and ergonomics, human population biology or nutrition, exercise and metabolism.Students will explore the biological aspects of human movement, function, and performance in health, aging, and chronic disease. In addition, the program enables students to experience comprehensive hands-on laboratories in exercise testing and assessment of human movement, and an in-depth dissection-based anatomical study of the human body. This program allows students to gain requirements towards becoming a certified Kinesiologist.
