University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Associate Degree - Applied Science (AD012P24) (113597D) The RMIT Associate Degree in Applied Science provides an entry point to the biomedical science and biotechnology industries, where technological change is creating new opportunities. The program features a strong hands-on focus, with a significant amount of time spent in laboratory classes, where students work in small practical groups that encourage interaction with teachers and classmates and foster a team-based environment.

The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers in the rapidly advancing fields of biotechnology and biomedicine. Working largely in laboratory settings, students develop essential problem-solving and teamwork skills to operate effectively in industry. They also have the opportunity to gain professional experience through work placement, receiving feedback from industry specialists.
