Overview

University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Prospective students are encouraged to contact an RMIT international advisor for assistance with their application and to determine the most suitable study option.

Double Degree - Bachelor of Engineering - Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering (Honours) & Bachelor of Business (BH111ECH23) (111191J) The RMIT Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering) (Honours) / Bachelor of Business double degree prepares students for future roles in engineering management. The program equips graduates to move into leadership and management positions either early in their careers or after gaining professional engineering experience, without the need for additional study.

The engineering component develops the knowledge and skills required to design, construct, and maintain electronic hardware, embedded systems, firmware, and communication and network systems. This includes areas such as automation, audio and visual data acquisition, digital signal processing, human–machine interaction, industrial and medical instrumentation, reconfigurable logic, distributed computing, and cybersecurity.

Students also gain experience in designing and building systems that transfer and store information using technologies such as radio frequency and optical fibre, while learning to manage and secure data flow across networks.

The business component builds capabilities in management and organisational practice, with flexible study options that allow students to develop broad business knowledge or specialise through a range of majors, minors, and cross-disciplinary pathways.
