UCM’s Bachelor of Science in Data Science, helps students understand how to use tools to dissect data coming from a variety of sources. The Data Science bachelor’s degree will introduce students to visualization, data mining, programming, statistics and forecasting to help them tackle large-scale data sets. As a Data Science major, students will learn to uncover patterns and employ statistical methods that help you provide data-driven insights to decision makers in their chosen field.

In student's senior year as a Data Science major, they will gain vital hands-on experience through a senior project course. Collaborating with fellow undergraduate students in the Data Science bachelor’s degree program, students will work with one of the school's industry partners and tackle a real-world project related to data science. Applying the knowledge and skills they've learned, students could choose a project related to software development, project management, data analytics or another area they’re interested in.
