Overview

The combined 4 year programme allows students with lower academic marks, or whose qualifications are not equivalent to British A Levels, to gain the necessary qualifications to proceed to undergraduate study. After completing the Foundation Year, students will be eligible to progress to a number of University of Chester undergraduate programmes. This course deals with questions about the nature of reality and human existence. It engages philosophical and ethical questions in the search for meaning and in conversation with religion(s). Students will explore the philosophical/moral systems of religions within religious texts, and lived within historic and contemporary, local and global contexts. Chester is an exciting place to study Philosophy, Ethics and Religion. With a large team of specialists in global philosophical and religious traditions, working at the cutting edge of their fields, we are able to offer an excellent range of modules. Students will have the opportunity to develop their own interests and engage contemporary questions with a range of global philosophical and religious traditions.
