Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Biological Sciences (Sandwich Year) (C100)

Biological sciences form the basis of many new areas of science and technology. They are the foundation of understanding a diverse range of subjects - from evolution, genetics and diversity to medicine, drug and human development.

On this course, students can choose to study human, medical or genetics and molecular biology.

Practical work includes a laboratory and/or field based project, a data project or a systematic review. Project work might be based in a laboratory or organisation outside Kingston University London. Students will gain the knowledge, techniques and skills they need to boost their employability, ready for when they graduate.

This degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB). Once students graduate, they'll receive one year's free membership, helping them to network and keep them up to date with developments in life sciences. Through option modules students can tailor their degree to suit their interests and career goals. In Year 2, students will follow the modules within their chosen specialism (Human Biology, Medical Biology or Genetics and Molecular Biology). They will develop their knowledge, techniques and practical skills, as well as additional transferable and employability skills. Placements can be with large multinational companies, international companies, local companies and small start-ups; offering a diverse range of posts.
