University of Nottingham - University Park
The Financial Economics MSc program at the University of Nottingham provides students with the necessary skills and techniques to comprehend the economics of financial markets. An introduction to the basics of financial economics is included, making this program suitable for those without prior specialization in this area.
Teaching is influenced by the research conducted at the Centre for Finance, Credit, and Macroeconomics, with experts in the field delivering the modules. Students will study core areas such as consumer and firm behavior, as well as the macroeconomic context for policymaking. A data analysis module with applications in financial economics is also part of the curriculum.
Optional modules in financial and macroeconometrics, as well as general equilibrium (DSGE) modeling techniques, are available. These modules provide in-depth knowledge of institutions, policymaking bodies, and evaluation techniques used in the financial sector.
Upon completion of the program, students will possess the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to excel in the financial sector and impress potential employers.
